2009 Dinner a Big Success
With roughly 380-400 guests being served, Evening of Blessing 2009 turned out to be a very successful dinner. This year was the fourth straight year for the Evening of Blessing dinner and organizers were very pleased at the turnout of the event along with the responses given by the guests that attended.
The Evening of Blessing staff would like to thank all the volunteers that helped to make this year's dinner very successful. Majority of volunteers came from local organizations such as: Parkway Apostolic Church, St. Matthew's Parish, Oak Creek High School and Harvest Bible Church. There were also several volunteers that volunteered on their own from Oak Creek and surrounding communities.
The biggest thanks goes out to our generous and loyal sponsors that come back every year and give generously to make this dinner a reality. This year's sponsors were: Wisconsin Energy Foundation, M&I Bank, NuCor Cold Finish, Masterlock, Bridgeman Foods and Woodman's.
Pictures from this year's dinner will be made available in the coming week or two, so please make sure to check back soon.
Preparations for next year's dinner is already underway with several new changes that can be expected for next year and years to come. Anyone interested in supporting next year's dinner by helping sponsor the event should contact Patrick Hansen of Parkway Church or Rich Duchniak of the Oak Creek Community Center.
