A Very Successful Dinner
Nov. 27, 2008
The Evening of Blessing dinner was a tremendous success with over 400 people being fed this year. Once again, the staff and volunteers of this event made this event a night to remember. With well over 60 volunteers serving, bussing and waiting on our guests, their efforts and hard work helped make this year's dinner, a record one. The Evening of Blessing staff would like to give a tremendous thanks to our corporate sponsors because this dinner would not be possible without them. We would like to thank, WE Energies and the Wisconsin Energy Corporation, NuCor Cold Finish Products of Oak Creek, Master Lock, M&I Bank of Oak Creek, Roth Heating & Cooling and Woodman's. Evening of Blessing is also very thankful to our hosts, Rich Duchniak, The Oak Creek Community Center and their staff for their work and support of this dinner and to provide us with a beautiful facility to host this event. Thanks must also go to Parkway Church and their youth group, Student ConneXion. The youth did a phenomenal job of waiting on our guests, bussing tables and greeting. Also to the many adult volunteers from Parkway. Michael McDowell and the Parkway Praise Team did a tremendous job of providing us with their performances. St. Matthew's youth group for helping set-up, tear down and helping to serve our guests along with the many adult volunteers who donated their time and efforts to this event. We apologize if we left anyone out, but know that we truly appreciate all the hard work given by our volunteers. This event does not become a reality without all of you!
A big thank you to Alderperson Dimity Grabowski and her husband Darin for their help and support and to Mr. Doug Seymour, Director of Community Development for his support and help of this year's dinner.
